Stones Throw - redesign and development

STONES THROW
re-design and development
june 2023

In 2021, while I was studying graphic design, I was assigned a project to redesign a website for a well-known brand or company with a strong identity. Due to my passion for music, I quickly decided to focus on a music-related project. The music label Stones Throw became my choice because I've always admired its atmosphere and identity, believing that I could do good work based on it.

In 2023, I decided to program and implement the design I had created, resulting in the following work presented below.
The website is 100% responsive and adapts to all devices in a clear and intuitive way.
The homepage displays the four latest news, and  menu allows us to access information about artists and their details, past and future events, the latest videos released by StonesThrow, and finally, the store. In the store, organized between music and merchandise and within these categories, we can find CDs, vinyls, t-shirts, caps, among others... We can add items to the shopping cart and proceed to checkout.

The website naturally features a user system to enable the checkout process for purchases. It is possible to register and log in, allowing access to the shopping cart, where you can modify the quantity of each product you wish to buy, remove items, and more. Finally, upon completing the checkout, the user will receive an email with payment information, including the payment reference, entity and amount.

The website's back office encompasses all the actions that I considered necessary for those managing it to update and add information, as well as to view and control orders placed in the online store. We can add, edit, and delete artists, news, events, and videos, as well as manage administrators and users of the platform.
The back office has the necessary security, preventing cyberattacks from outside or inside the website.

In order management, it's possible to view and control the stock of a product. If a customer proceeds with a checkout, the stock in the website's database will automatically be reduced. Conversely, if an order is canceled, the stock will be replenished accordingly.
